PowerStore: Stale Global Storage Discovery IP Check

Symptoms

A health check in the RxDefinitions package detects this issue. The alert 0x03700103 was raised for: 

"Detected stale IPs in the portal list of remote RTPs."

Cause

During the PowerStore Add Appliance (AA) process, the Global Storage Discovery IP (GSIP) configured on the primary appliance is automatically propagated to the portal list of the newly added (secondary) appliance.  However, following a Non-Disruptive Upgrade (NDU) to version 4.x, if the GSIP is manually updated or reconfigured, the previous IP address is not automatically removed from the portal list on the secondary appliance.  This results in a stale GSIP entry, which can cause subsequent Add Appliance operations to fail.

 

Resolution

This issue is resolved in PowerStoreOS version 4.2
