Symptoms

SnapVX and zDP have inconsistency in displaying allocated tracks.

SnapVX QUERY FREE shows them in DEC, whereas zDP QUERY FREE TGT shows them in HEX.

It is hard for user to figure out if number of ALLOCATED TRKS is in HEX or DEC. Documentation does not clarify this.

Cause

This is a display enhancement to avoid confusion when running SnapVX QUERY FREE and zDP QUERY FREE TGT.

Resolution

Documentation enhancement: 
  • For Mainframe Enablers 8.5, PTF SF85081 has been developed to correct the issue. It is available to download from Dell Online Support.
  • For Mainframe Enablers 8.4, PTF SF84156 has been developed to correct the issue. It is available to download from Dell Online Support.
