RecoverPoint: All Consistency Group operations are grayed out

Symptoms

Consistency Groups in the Unisphere for RecoverPoint UI, all operations, and most settings are grayed out.
For example, the following options are not available:

  • Test Copy
  • Fail over
  • Recover Production
  • Pause Transfer
  • Disabled Group
  • Remove Group

Cause

The Consistency Group is set to Site Recovery Manager (SRM) managed.
Site Recovery Manager (SRM) must be able to failover operations always; the user is not allowed to change the group while under SRM control.

Resolution

Workaround:
In the Group Policy, under External Management set the group to be Managed by RecoverPoint and apply the setting.
At that point all operations should be available again.

Set it back to Managed by External Application for Site Recovery Manager (SRM) to work properly.
