Instructions
An update to the trusted root Certificate Authority (CA) is issued to maintain product update infrastructure security and integrity.
Dell is transitioning away from Entrust to DigiCert as a trusted root CA provider as part of this update.
This means that customers should upgrade their clusters to one of the following OneFS releases or install the patch below, before attempting to install updated packages (OneFS, Node or Drive Firmware, Health Check definitions, and so forth) published after May 2026.
If your cluster is currently running a OneFS version older than the versions listed below for your release branch, you must either upgrade or install the patch before attempting to install updated packages:
- OneFS 9.5.1.5
- OneFS 9.7.1.11
- OneFS 9.10.1.4
- OneFS 9.11.0.6
- OneFS 9.12.0.1
or Install:
- Patch
9.X_GA-RUP_2025-10_PSP-4737- Patch for all the releases across OneFS 9.5.0.0 to 9.13.0.0 (DigiCert update)
Additional Notes:
- Installing the above patch or upgrading to one of the above OneFS versions automatically updates the root CA to the required level.
- If the cluster is already running one of the above OneFS versions or later, no other actions are required before upgrade.
- If the cluster is running a version older than those listed above (such as below 9.5.1.5 on the 9.5 branch, below 9.7.1.11 on the 9.7 branch, and so forth), you must either upgrade to the corresponding version or install patch PSP-4737 before installing packages published after May, 2026.
- Patch installation is non-disruptive, no nodes or services will be impacted. Patch can be installed using the --simultaneous option
