Symptoms
A File Level Restore (FLR) of a Linux Virtual Machine (VM) is performed using NetWorker VMware Protection (NVP). An NVP vProxy host was being used as target machine for the FLR.
Potential symptoms:

- Mount operation fails returning an error message.
- Mount operation succeeds, but browse error message is returned.
- Mount operation succeeds, and no error is returned; however, Mountpoints, folders, files from the source VM are not listed during the "Select Files and Folders to Recover" stage.
Cause
Using the vProxy appliance as an FLR target is not supported.
Resolution
The vProxy appliance should not appear as a backup object or FLR target. Check the vProxy in VMware vSphere. The vProxy's Notes field should contain "This is Backup and Recovery vProxy Appliance." If the Notes field is empty, the vProxy is not ignored by vProxy backup/restore target operations. Ensure that the default Notes entry exists:
