Note: This knowledge base article is only applicable to the installation or upgrading to PowerPath for Windows 6.1 or above on only Microsoft Windows 2008 R2
On Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 must be installed and the following Microsoft KBs must be installed to support the PowerPath 6.1 (and above) SHA-2 drivers.

As per Release notes of PowerPath 6.1 for Windows, Run NO_KBCHECK=1 during CLI-based installation to avoid the verification of the installed KBs in Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 hosts.
The value 1 will ignore SHA-2 KBs check in Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 hosts.
Also for PowerPath 6.3/6.4/6.5 MS 2999226 or 3118401 will be required
Here is the command:
<PowerPath Installation .exe file name> /v"/L*v C:\logs\PPsetup.log NO_KBCHECK=1 NO_REBOOT=1"
Note that in the above example the c:\logs folder must exist prior to running the command or you will encounter "Error opening the installation log."
A reboot when complete is required.
Note: Upgrades will require the same command line options.
