What is Dell Command | PowerShell Provider?

Dell Command | PowerShell Provider is a module that allows you to manage BIOS configuration through the Windows PowerShell interface. This module works for local and remote devices. It even works in a Windows Preinstallation Environment (WinPE).

Cause

This is due to a BIOS coding issue.

Resolution

Note: You must have administrator rights on the faulty desktop to make any operating system changes or update any software.

Update the BIOS to Dell Pro Tower QCT1255/Slim QCS1255/Micro QCM1255 System BIOS, version 1.1.3 or later. Use the instructions in the following link to download and install the Dell_Pro_QCT1255_QCS1255_QCM1255_1.1.3.exe update file:
