Instructions

How to identify an SFP type and model connected to an ECS node.

Network interfaces that use an SFP can be frontend interfaces slave-0 and slave-1 on Generation 1 or 2. Frontend interfaces slave-0, slave-1 and backend interfaces pslave-0, pslave-1 on Gen 3

Command:
# sudo ethtool -m <network interface>

Example: (Copper connection)

admin@node1:~> sudo ethtool -m slave-0
