Instructions
To perform remote auxiliary drain of the node through the iDRAC, follow the steps below:
- Put the host into maintenance mode in the vCenter web client.
- Navigate to "Configuration > BIOS settings > Miscellaneous Settings" (screenshot below)
- Under "Power Cycle Request" choose Full Power Cycle from the drop-down and click the Apply button.
- Then choose the appropriate option from the bottom of the page to Initiate a reboot and perform the remote auxiliary drain. (If you chose the "At Next Reboot" option you must manually reboot the node before it performs the operation)

Additional Information
Connectivity to the iDRAC is lost for a short period once the reset begins and can log back in once it is complete.
