Symptoms

This is a warning that is generated when at least one disk in the FAST Cache is predicted to exceed end-of-life (EOL) thresholds in X days.

Description: FAST Cache has 1 drive(s) predicted to exceed end-of-life thresholds within 2 day(s).

Cause

FAST Cache has drives that are predicted to exceed their drive specified endurance in less than X days with the same days remaining for EOL.

Resolution

  • If there are spare drives available, the storage system automatically replaces the affected drives with no data loss when they reach end-of-life.
  • Replace affected drives when they reach end-of-life (EOL). 
  • For further assistance, or to replace the drives sooner than the OE algorithm, reach out to Dell Technical Support and reference the relevant Knowledgebase Article number.
    To expedite support, gather Unity Service Data Collects and provide them when a Service Request is opened.
