Announcement
The Dell BSAFE Product Team announces the release and general availability of Dell BSAFE Crypto-J 7.0. This release integrates Dell BSAFE Crypto Module for Java 7.0 as its underlying FIPS 140 provider, submitted for FIPS 140-3 validation.BSAFE Crypto-J 7.0 is a major release that include the following changes and new features:
- Updated Algorithm support
- Added safe prime support for DH domain parameters.
- Added support for Deterministic DSA and ECDSA as specified in RFC 6979.
- AES in CBC_CS1, CBC_CS2 or CBC_CS3 modes for CTS is now allowed in FIPS140 mode.
- Support added for FIPS 140-3 compliant PBKDF2.
- Updated the maximum DH key size, in bits, from 4096 to 8192.
- Removed support for the proprietary JSAFE API and other previously deprecated APIs.
- Removed support for MultiPrime RSA.
- Native support using BSAFE Crypto-C Micro Edition has been removed.
