Symptoms

PowerProtect TSDM(Transparent Snapshot Data Mover) 솔루션은 vSphere 환경을 보호하는 데 사용됩니다. VM(가상 머신) 예약 백업은 성공적으로 완료되지만 수동 백업은 ABV0006과 함께 간헐적으로 실패합니다. 영향을 받는 VM에 구성된 독립 디스크가 없습니다.

ABV0006: VM Direct engine 'my-vmdirect-engine.mydomain.com' is unable to back up the virtual machine 'my-vm-name' on vCenter 'my-vcenter'.

Protection of this virtual machine by the VM Direct engine cannot be completed because the backup was unsuccessful.

Review the error details and summary log in the Jobs window, or review the log files at /var/log/brs/vmdm for more detailed information to troubleshoot the issue.

Cause

수동 백업이 시작될 때 영향을 받은 VM은 PowerProtect FLR(File Level Recover) 작업도 실행 중이었습니다. 설계에 따라 FLR은 복원 실행에 사용할 수 있는 마운트 작업을 위해 독립적인 하드 디스크를 생성합니다. FLR은 복구가 끝날 때 독립 하드 디스크를 제거합니다.

Resolution

예약된 백업 기간 동안 또는 수동 백업을 수행할 때 PowerProtect FLR(File Level Recover) 작업이 실행되고 있지 않은지 확인합니다.
