Symptoms

De PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance wordt gebruikt om de vSphere-omgeving te beschermen. Er wordt een VMware applicatiebewust beveiligingsbeleid geconfigureerd om een virtuele Microsoft SQL Server-machine (VM) te beschermen. De systeemconfiguratietaak Microsoft SQL Server VM mislukt en de afsluitstatus ABV0025 geeft aan dat de PowerProtect Agent-service niet kon worden geregistreerd.

ABV0025: VM Direct engine is unable to configure protection for the virtual machine 'my-sql-server.my-domain.com' on vCenter 'my-vcenter.my-domain.com'.

The VM Direct engine cannot complete protection of this virtual machine because the protection configuration was unsuccessful.

 Review the error details and summary log in the Jobs window, or export the job logs and review the log files for more information. If the issue persists, contact Dell Customer Support.

Cause

Er is een corruptie in de agents.clb lockbox die voorkomt dat de MSAPPAGENT-service de certificaatbestanden bijwerkt.

Resolution

Verwijder de bestaande agents.clb lockbox, zodat een nieuwe lockbox opnieuw wordt aangemaakt op de Microsoft SQL Server.

  1. Stop de PowerProtect Agent Service vanaf de services.msc of opdrachtprompt:
net stop agentservice
  1. Verplaats de inhoud van de C:\Program Files\DPSAPPS\common\lockbox naar een andere map.
  2. Start de PowerProtect Agent Service vanuit het services.msc of opdrachtprompt:
net start agentservice
