Instructions
One can use zoneObjectReplace command to replace the existing member of a zone or a Peer Zone with a new member. This command can be used to replace members of an alias, but an alias itself cannot be replaced.
SYNTAXzoneobjectreplace oldmember newmember
The following operands are required:
Oldmember: Specifies the the zone member that has to be replaced. You can specify WWN or Domain,Index (D,I).
Newmember: Specifies the new zone member with which to replace the old zone member. You can specify WWN or D,I.
Use the following procedure to replace zone member.
- Connect to the switch and log in using an account with admin permissions.
- Enter
cfgShowto view the zone configuration member you want to replace.
switch:admin> cfgShow Defined configuration: cfg: USA_cfg Purple_zone; White_zone; Blue_zone zone: Blue_zone 1,1; array1; 1,2; array2 zone: Purple_zone 1,0; loop1 zone: White_zone 1,3; 1,4 alias: array1 21:00:00:20:37:0c:76:8c; 21:00:00:20:37:0c:71:02 alias: array2 21:00:00:20:37:0c:76:22; 21:00:00:20:37:0c:76:28 alias: loop1 21:00:00:20:37:0c:76:85; 21:00:00:20:37:0c:71:df
- Enter
zoneObjectReplaceto replace zone member.
switch:admin> zoneobjectreplace "21:00:00:20:37:0c:76:8c" "10:00:00:05:1e:a1:10:c1"
- Enter the
cfgShowcommand to verify the replaced member is present. - If you want the change preserved when the switch reboots, enter the
cfgSavecommand to save it to non-volatile (flash) memory. - Enter the
cfgEnablecommand for the appropriate zone configuration to make the change effective.
Additional Information
When an FCS policy is enabled, this command can be issued only from the primary FCS switch.
This command is not supported on the Brocade Analytics Monitoring Platform.
