Symptoms

The DDPM application initiates a search for devices but remains in this state indefinitely after launching the application on macOS version 26. The monitor is not detected, regardless of how long the application continues to run.

Affected Application:

  • Dell Display and Peripheral Manager for macOS version 2.1.0

Cause

DDPM initializes camera settings in a separate thread, causing this issue.

Resolution

Uninstall DDPM version 2.1.0 and install DDPM version 2.1.1 or later to resolve the issue. To download and install the DDPM, refer to Dell Display and Peripheral Manager for macOS
