Instructions

Perform the below steps:

  1. Copy the old driver to the ESXi host. (You can copy the VIB or offline bundle .zip)
  2. Enter SDS into maintenance mode.
  3. Gracefully shutdown SVM
  4. Enter ESXi into maintenance mode.
  5.  Install the old driver.
    • For the offline bundle: In the ESXi console:
Esxcli software VIB install d /tmp/VMW-ESXI-6.5.0-lsi_mr3-6.910.20.00-offline_bundle-5146547.zip
  • For VIB: In the ESXi console:
Esxcli software VIB installs -v /tmp/lsi_mr3-6.910.20.00-1OEM.650.0.0.4598673.x86_64.vib
  1. Notice that no signature may be required to add depending on the driver version installed. If PERC driver installation failed due to signature, add the "--no-sig-check" flag to the command ESXi 6.5
  2. Reboot
  3. Exit ESXi from maintenance mode.
  4. Turn on SVM.
  5. Exit SDS out of maintenance mode.
  6. Wait for the rebuild or rebalance to finish.
