Instructions
Unisphere for PowerMax/VMAX application is independent and the array alias name change which can be done from the UI dashboard by clicking on pencil icon setting persists only on that server where the changes were made and cannot carry over to another Unisphere application installed on another server.
Hence, by default array serial number will be displayed on dashboard after new installation.
Also, Only Unisphere application has the ability to give alias name to the array which is the same fetched by CloudIQ. Furthermore, the array name change activity cannot be tracked from audit log as the operation doesn't go to array level so, audit log does not even get refreshed and no use of in this case.
