Symptoms

SNMP 모니터링 애플리케이션은 보안상의 이유로 SNMPv3를 사용할 때 트랩을 허용하려면 SNMP 엔진 ID가 필요할 수 있습니다.

Cause

From RFC5343: SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) Context EngineID 검색 
SNMP version 3 (SNMPv3) provides cryptographic security to protect
   devices from unauthorized access.  This specification recommends use
   of the security services provided by SNMPv3.  In particular, it is
   RECOMMENDED to protect the discovery exchange.

   An snmpEngineID can contain information such as a device's MAC
   address, IPv4 address, IPv6 address, or administratively assigned
   text.

PowerVault ME4 및 ME5 스토리지의 경우 이 값은 컨트롤러 모듈 관리 인터페이스 MAC 주소를 기반으로 하며 각 컨트롤러 인터페이스마다 다릅니다.

Resolution

이 값은 각 컨트롤러에 대해 고유하기 때문에 관리자가 이 값을 얻기 위해 특정 SNMP OID를 쿼리해야 할 수 있습니다.  이 작업은 다음 방법 및 {snmpsoft.com}의 SNMP 받음과 같은 애플리케이션을 사용하여 수행할 수 있습니다.

SNMP 사양에 따라 EngineID는 다음 OID 위치에 있는 SNMP에 있습니다.  1.3.6.1.6.3.10.2.1.1

예를 들어 MAC 주소가 00 C0 FF 3C C7 11인 컨트롤러에서 SNMPpath를 실행하면 다음 출력이 발생합니다.
