Symptoms

SNMP監視アプリケーションでは、セキュリティ上の理由からSNMPv3を使用する際に、トラップを受け入れるSNMPエンジンIDが必要になる場合があります。

Cause

RFC5343から: SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol)Context EngineID検出 
SNMP version 3 (SNMPv3) provides cryptographic security to protect
   devices from unauthorized access.  This specification recommends use
   of the security services provided by SNMPv3.  In particular, it is
   RECOMMENDED to protect the discovery exchange.

   An snmpEngineID can contain information such as a device's MAC
   address, IPv4 address, IPv6 address, or administratively assigned
   text.

PowerVault ME4およびME5アレイの場合、この値はコントローラー モジュール管理インターフェイスのMACアドレスに基づいており、コントローラー インターフェイスごとに異なります。

Resolution

この値はコントローラーごとに一意であるため、管理者はこの値を取得するために特定のSNMP OIDをクエリーする必要がある場合があります。  これは、次の方法と、{snmpsoft.com}からのSNMPWalkなどのアプリケーションを使用して実行できます。

SNMPの仕様に基づいて、EngineIDはSNMPの次のOIDの場所にあります。  1.3.6.1.6.3.10.2.1.1

たとえば、MACアドレスが00 C0 FF 3C C7 11のコントローラーでSNMPwalkを実行すると、次の出力が表示されます。
