DC2 Error Message:

GDDM105E Unable to obtain work control block

Error message occurs hours later if WORKMGR is restarted. This error message posts repeatedly.

Cause

The S0C4-10 or S0C4-04 abends are caused by a buffer overlay in the work area of the Geographically Dispersed Disaster Restart (GDDR) Work Manager (GDDRWMGR). The Abends may occur in GDDRMCMD at the time of the buffer overlay or after the fact in GDDRWMGR.

Resolution

Permanent Fix: For GDDR 6.0, Program Temporary Fix (PTF) GD60020 is available to address the issue. It is available to download from Dell Online Support.
