Tento postup popisuje, jak povolit hlavní události závažnosti:
  • Navštivte adresu 
    /SYMAPI/config/daemon_options
  • Upravte následující položky v možnostech démona a generujte pouze hlavní události závažnosti pro kódy konkrétních událostí:
          sid=000000xxxxxxx, , sev=major ;\ 
          Example :  sid=000000xxxxxxx, 1200, sev=major ;\ 

Pomocí výše uvedeného příkladu je možné spustit konkrétní kód události.
