Symptoms

PowerStore Manager login fails when using one of the following username formats:
  • User@netbios_name
  • User/netbios_name
The username and or password combination may be invalid or the user account may be locked.

Cause

In PowerStoreOS 3.5, the shortened NetBIOS name is no longer valid when entering LDAP user credentials for PowerStore Manager login.

Resolution

In PowerStoreOS 3.5, use the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) or Universal Principal Name (UPN) when logging in as an LDAP user:
  • user@FQDN.company.com
  • FQDN.company.com/user
The shortened NetBIOS login method is restored with PowerStoreOS 3.6 and later.
