The process to enable an SSH user for Dell Security Management Server Virtual varies between v9.11.0 and Later and v8.2.0 to 9.10.1. Click the appropriate version for more information. For versioning information, reference How to Identify the Dell Data Security Server Version.
v9.11.0 and Later
- Log in to the virtual appliance using the default administrator (
delluser) credentials.
Note:- The default credentials for the virtual appliance are:
- Username:

- An administrator can change the default password within the product’s virtual appliance menu.
- The default credentials for the virtual appliance are:
- From the Main Menu, select Basic Configuration and then press Enter.

- Select SSH and then press Enter.

- Press the spacebar to enable
delluser,dellsupport, ordellconsole. Once all wanted accounts are checked, select OK, and then press Enter.

- Log in to the virtual appliance using the default administrator (
