- PowerFlex Supported Upgrade Paths
Some PowerFlex upgrades cannot be done directly and require intermediate upgrade steps. These tables describe the valid upgrade paths.
-
- For environments with PowerFlex Manager 4.6.x planning to update to 5.1 or higher, PowerFlex Manager must initially be upgraded to 4.8.x, then to 5.1.x. Catalogs (RCM/IC) are able to be direct upgrades. This also applies to systems that below 4.6.x and are required to use 4.6 as an interim step per the table below.
- Direct upgrades from PFxM/Core 3.x to 4.x are not supported, but rather a one-time migration is required. See Dell PowerFlex Appliance and PowerFlex Rack Migration to PowerFlex 4.x for more information.
- An upgrade path may have restrictions when certain elements such as CloudLink are deployed.
