Symptoms

Avamar garbage collection mislukt met de volgende fout. 
Last GC: finished Fri May 22 12:25:36 2015 after 52m 16s >> recovered 0.00 KB (MSG_ERR_DUPLICATE) 

Cause

Garbage Collection is binnen korte tijd meer dan eens gestart.

Bevestig dit door de GC-onderhoudslogboeken te kopiëren naar een bestand en de inhoud te bekijken. 
dumpmaintlogs --types=gc --days=5 > gc-maint.log
Het volgende uittreksel van het onderhoudslogboek toont een tweede garbage collection-taak die binnen 15 minuten na een bestaande taak wordt uitgegeven.

Resolution

Laat garbage collection uitvoeren, natuurlijk gestart door de maintenance scheduler.

Gebruikers mogen niet proberen om garbage collection handmatig te starten, hetzij via de administrator-interface of vanaf de opdrachtregel.
