Symptoms

zDP ISPF interface EIPCLIST fails when selecting Query.  
Error message: Validation Failed. The resource block for: EMC.ADMIN.CMD.ZDP.QUERY.SNAPSET did not pass validation.

Cause

Upgrading from MFE 8.3 to MFE 8.4 or 8.5 and not following the installation instructions contained in the Dell EMC Mainframe Enablers TimeFinder SnapVX and zDP Product Guide.

In MFE 8.3 there are installation instructions to customize these variables that are in the EIPCLIST member: 
EIP_RACF_START 
EIP_RACF_STOP
EIP_RACF_RELDLOCK 
EIP_RACF_PAUSE
EIP_RACF_RESUME
EIP_RACF_SMF
EIP_RACF_TERM_RANGE

 
In MFE 8.4 or 8.5, and above, these variables have been removed from the installation instructions as well as the EIPCLIST SAMPLIB member.   

Resolution

Permanent Fix:

When upgrading from MFE 8.3 to MFE 8.4 or 8.5 the ISPF EIPCLIST member from the newly installed SAMPLIB dataset must be used as previous versions are not compatible.
 
Follow the MFE 8.4 or 8.5 installation instructions for the zDP ISPF interface EIPCLIST contained in the Dell EMC Mainframe Enablers TimeFinder SnapVX and zDP Product Guide.
