目標

重新設定 VPLEX 中繼資料磁片區，以滿足儲存裝置技術擴充之後的最佳實務。

事實

如果有多個陣列存在，則必須在本機月臺的陣列之間設定中繼資料和元資料備份。

如果月臺最初是以單一陣列建立，而另一個陣列要在稍後新增，則必須將中繼資料磁片區的一個 leg 和一個備份移動到新的陣列。

除非只有一個後端陣列可用，否則中繼資料及其備份磁片區必須位於個別陣列上，且應位於個別故障網域中。此要求亦適用于鏡像磁片區及其備份磁片區。

解決方案

中繼資料重新組態：

重新組態之前，請先檢閱目前的系統磁片區組態與狀態： 
# VPlexcli:clusters/cluster-1/system-volumes> ls -al


識別中繼資料鏡像的目前腿，並記錄 VPD ID： 
# VPlexcli:/> ll /clusters/cluster-1/system-volumes//components
 

  1. 在新陣列上建立 2 個與目前中繼資料 lun （最小 78G） 相同大小 （使用區塊大小） 的新儲存磁片區。一個用於中繼資料，另一個用於元資料備份。

  2. 清除儲存磁片區上的所有資料;如何清除指定磁片中的所有資料的範例：

    • 將用於中繼資料的磁片公開至 Linux 主機

    • 使用下列命令將零寫入磁片：
       

      警示：此命令會清除磁片上的所有資料。 
      # dd if=/dev/zero of=device name conv=notrunc



      例如： 

      dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdbg conv=notrunc

       

  3. 使用 vplex 遮罩新的儲存磁片區。

  4. 確定已正確探索到此磁片區，且已準備好新增為系統磁片區;記錄 VPD ID：
     

    # VPlexcli:/> configuration show-meta-volume-candidates

     

  5. 卸下先前識別的 2 個腿中的其中一個：

    # VPlexcli:/> meta-volume detach-mirror --storage-volume  --meta-volume

     

  6. 將其中一個新儲存磁片區新增至中繼資料鏡像：
     

    # VPlexcli:/> meta-volume attach-mirror --storage-volume  --meta-volume

     

  7. 等待同步完成並檢閱目前的系統磁片區組態與狀態：
     

    # VPlexcli:clusters/cluster-1/system-volumes> ls -al

     

  8. 重新設定元資料備份與其他新的儲存磁片區和現有的磁片區：

    # VPlexcli:/>configuration metadata-backup

     

  9. 執行健全狀況檢查，並確認系統磁片區沒有任何相關錯誤：

    # VPlexcli:/>health-check

     

  10. 視需要刪除和清理先前使用的儲存磁片區。

  11. 對第二個叢集重複作業 1 至 10
