Hardware Compatibility
Dell Networking SmartFabric OS10 is Debian Linux based operating system designed to run on PowerSwitch platforms. For a full list of compatible models and software versions, see SmartFabric OS10 Hardware Compatibility List.
The end of standard support for a given version is generally 3 years after initial release. The 10.5.2.x firmware line was at the end of standard support 36 months after the release of version 10.5.2.0.

How to Download
If a PowerSwitch was ordered with SmartFabric OS10 or Enterprise SONiC, a notification is sent to the email address in the purchase order. The email includes an Entitlement ID, order number, and a link to Dell Digital Locker (DDL).
If your purchase was completed through a certified Dell channel partner, request the partner to transfer the entitlement to you using your email address.
License
SmartFabric OS10 requires a perpetual license to operate without service interruption beyond the 120-day trial period. SmartFabric OS10 software licenses are available in the Dell Digital Locker (DDL) .

Installation, Upgrade, and Downgrade

Some important information to be aware of:
- Platform-specific prerequisites section
- ONIE and relevant firmware versions - these are addressed in the guide, but some notable upgrades have occurred, including PCIe and SSD firmware (model dependent) - that information can be found in the relevant ONIE release notes.
