Setting up your Speakerphone

 

Compatibility

Operating Systems:

  • Windows 11, and Windows 10

Using the Dell Peripheral Manager application:

  • Windows 10 or later

Connecting the Speakerphone

The Dell Pro Desktop Speakerphone SP3022 sits on your desk beside your computer or under a Dell monitor. A USB Type-A cable or USB Type-A to Type-C adapter connects the speakerphone to a USB port on a compatible monitor. The monitors USB upstream cable connects to your Desktop or laptop.

If the monitor does not include a USB hub, you can plug directly to the Desktop or laptops using a Type-A or Type-C port.

Troubleshooting

 

Problems Possible solutions
Audio Performance Issues
  • Check and update system BIOS and audio driver for a newer version.
Update your computer’s BIOS and Dell Pro Desktop Speakerphone SP3022 firmware.
  • Update your computer’s BIOS and drivers from:

  • Driver update only possible on Windows 11 or Windows 10 64-Bit Operating System computer.
  • You must connect Dell Pro Desktop Speakerphone SP3022 to your computer before updating FW.
Dell Pro Desktop Speakerphone SP3022’s buttons do not respond while calling using conferencing applications other than Teams.
  • On applications other than Teams, it is recommended to use the in application controls rather than the buttons on the DDell Pro Desktop Speakerphone SP3022.
  • See your manual for the speakerphone buttons behavior with various UC applications.
The answer call button does not work when receiving calls from Teams.
  • This occurs when you have multiple conferencing applications that are installed on your device and active simultaneously. In these scenarios, it is recommended to use the in application controls rather than the buttons on the Dell Pro Desktop Speakerphone SP3022.
The Echo can be heard during the call.
  • Dell Pro Desktop Speakerphone SP3022 has the Echo cancellation feature, which minimizes and reduces any echo that is heard on calls.
  • If you hear an echo from your device, it is possible that the user on the other end does not have the echo cancellation feature.
No Audio
  • Disconnect and reconnect the Dell Pro Desktop Speakerphone SP3022 to your computer.
  • Check the computer sound setting and select the Dell Pro Desktop Speakerphone SP3022 as the playback device.
  • Adjust the volume settings to an adequate level.
Microphone does not work.
  • Disconnect and reconnect the Dell Pro Desktop Speakerphone SP3022 to your computer.
  • Check the computer sound setting and select the Dell Pro Desktop Speakerphone SP3022 as the recording device.
Cannot make a phone call or pick up an incoming call in device button using Line, WhatsApp, and WeChat?
  • Confirm if the monitor model used supports the speakerphone.

Abnormal sound
  • Remove any obstructions between the Dell Pro Desktop Speakerphone SP3022 and the user.

  • Disable System Audio Enhancements.
Volume is too low.
  • Remove any obstructions between the Dell Pro Desktop Speakerphone SP3022 and the user.
  • Turn the volume to a higher level by pressing the volume up button or using the software UI.
  • Press volume setting on Windows to increase the volume.
