OpenManage Enterprise: Services Plug-in Does Not Show Servers
Summary: OpenManage Enterprise (OME) Services plug-in may not show a device, or the device is in staging status.
Instructions
Scope:
Devices discovered and inventoried in OpenManage Enterprise (OME) reflect the information available as of the last successful inventory. Integration to plugins such as Services is not available if OpenManage Enterprise has not detected the new capabilities of the device.
Solution:
Confirm that the DRAC is responsive and accessible to log in.
- In the OpenManage Enterprise Web Interface, go to Device, click the Device Name, and confirm that the device summary loads without errors.
- Click Warranty and confirm that the device has the correct contracts to onboard to Services.
If the device shows in staging or does not show in the OpenManage Enterprise Services plug-in, perform the following steps:
- From OpenManage Enterprise > Monitor > Troubleshooting > Device, ping the device and confirm network connectivity.
- From the OpenManage Enterprise Devices page, click System > Inventory > Run inventory on the device. Wait for the operation to complete.
- From the OpenManage Enterprise Devices page, click System > Discovery > Onboarding and provide the device credentials. Wait for the operation to complete.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, try the following steps on one or more devices to force synchronization:
- From the OpenManage Enterprise Devices page, click System > More Actions > Delete the Device.
- Reboot the iDRAC on the device.
- From the OpenManage Enterprise Devices page, click Discovery > Discover Devices, and provide the IP and credentials for the DRAC.
- From the OpenManage Enterprise Devices page, click System > Discovery > Onboarding and provide the device credentials. Wait for the operation to complete.
- Verify in OpenManage Enterprise Services that the device shows correctly.
A successful inventory of the device in OpenManage Enterprise extends the capabilities to OpenManage Enterprise plugins such as Services. If issues persist, confirm network connectivity to the device from OpenManage Enterprise.
