Notes
  • Dell Storage Update Manager simplifies the process of maintaining Dell Storage products with guided update management. It supports PS firmware releases as per supported firmware compatibility matrix, drive FW, and language pack updates.
  • The recommended Application Launcher download dynamically provides access to the latest available updates available on a continual basis. Also, the Standalone kit is provided to accommodate customers choosing to use the Dell Storage Update Manager with no connections to the Internet. Due to the dynamic nature of updates and to ensure access to the latest available updates, Standalone kit customers should return to this site to acquire the latest Standalone kit.
  • FS Series Updates: If Dell Storage Update Manager guides to v4.0.x or later, additional instructions on proper download actions are provided on the FS Series Download page.
  • When the Dell Storage Update Manager and Java console are running simultaneously, a Java deadlock condition might occur if you set your system to sleep mode. Should this happen, you must use the Task Manager to close both the Dell Storage Update Manager and Java console. When you relaunch Dell Storage Update Manager, it should remember the previous context and continue from that point. To avoid this situation, Dell Technologies recommends that you do not run the Dell Storage Update Manager and the Java console simultaneously.
