Wanneer u een externe Avamar-server probeert toe te voegen in de Client Manager-webapplicatie, treedt de volgende fout op.

Tcpdump/Wireshark

Voordat u op Opslaan klikt in Source Client Manager om te proberen een server toe te voegen, moet u een tcpdump uitvoeren op de primaire interface van Source Avamar die alleen pakketten vastlegt met een bron- of doel-IP van de externe Avamar die we proberen toe te voegen.

Voorbeeld:
tcpdump -i <primary_interface> host <remote_avamar> -w <capture_file_output>
tcpdump -i bond0 host remote_avamar.dell.com -w /home/admin/client_manager.pcapng

Voer de opdracht tcpdump uit om netwerkverkeer vast te leggen.
Nadat u de opdracht hebt gestart, klikt u op Opslaan op de pagina Client Manager om te proberen externe Avamar toe te voegen.
Zodra de verificatiefout optreedt, drukt u op de tcpdump om te stoppen met het vastleggen van pakketten.

Bekijk nu de tcpdump in een tool als Wireshark om dit te onderzoeken.

Voorbeeld:
Verbindingsstroom uitgelegd:
- TCP 3-weg handshake in eerste 3 pakketten naar externe Avamar op poort 9443 (MCSDK-webservice)
- 4e pakket TLS-handshake begint met Client Hello waarbij de bron-Avamar zijn mogelijkheden naar de bestemming stuurt.
- 5e pakket extern Avamar bevestigt pakket 4
- 6e pakket extern Avamar verstuurt server Hallo met zijn certificaatketen, de certificaatketen is de mcssl-alias van zijn /usr/local/avamar/lib/rmi_ssl_keystore
- 7e pakket de bron Avamar erkent pakket 6

Moet bevestigen

Voordat u verder gaat met deze KB, moet u een paar dingen bevestigen:

- Voorwaartse en omgekeerde DNS-lookup tussen bron- en externe Avamar-servers
verifiëren- Verifieer het gebruik van de juiste referenties voor extern Avamar MCUser-account
- Controleer of er geen problemen zijn op de bron-Avamar-server met lokale accounts door /usr/local/avamar/var/mc/server_log/mcserver.out
te onderzoeken- Controleer of poort 9443 open is tussen bron en externe Avamar, deze wordt gebruikt voor mcsdk

Cause

De bron-Avamar-server kan het mcssl-certificaat van de externe Avamar-server op poort 9443 niet valideren.
Tijdens deze verbinding probeert de bron-Avamar het mcssl-certificaat van de externe Avamar-server te valideren met behulp van zijn eigen trust store /usr/local/avamar/lib/rmi_ssl_keystore.
Als de mcssl van de externe Avamar zich niet in de rmi-keystore van de bron-Avamar bevindt, wordt de socket gesloten na een TLS-handshakefout (zie tcpdump-analyse bij symptomen)

Résolution

Er zijn twee scenario's:
  1. Externe Avamar-server die wordt toegevoegd heeft zelfondertekende webcertificaten (mcssl is zelfondertekend in RMI Keystore)
  2. Externe Avamar-server die wordt toegevoegd, heeft CA-ondertekende webcertificaten (mcssl is een volledig geketend ondertekend certificaat)
Hoe weet ik of zelfondertekend of CA ondertekend mcssl?
- als u ondertekende certificaten in de AUI hebt geïnstalleerd door de persoonlijke sleutel in het tabblad systeem te vervangen, wordt mcssl ondertekend
- zo niet, dan zijn de certificaten waarschijnlijk zelfondertekend

Opdracht om mcssl-certificaat te bekijken in rmi keystore vanaf een Avamar-server:
keytool -list -v -keystore /usr/local/avamar/lib/rmi_ssl_keystore -storepass $(avlockbox.sh -r keystore_passphrase) -alias mcssl

Hieronder zien we dat er slechts één certificaat in de ketenlengte is en dat de eigenaar en uitgever dezelfde entiteit zijn (beheerder).

- in deze KB wordt beschreven hoe u openssl kunt gebruiken om de volledige certificeringsketen van externe Avamar mcssl te pakken
