DSU: mlxmanager.exe crashes on Windows Server 2016

Symptômes

The following log entry may be noted in the System event log of Windows Server 2016 while inventorying a host for version compliance with Dell System Update (DSU):

Faulting application name: mlxfwmanager.exe, version: 4.12.0.105, timestamp: 0x00000000 
Faulting module name: msvcrt.dll, version: 7.0.14393.2457, timestamp: 0x5b7e2c5b Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x000000000005d1c2

Cause

A module within the Inventory Collector version 24.03 component of DSU that detects the presence of Mellanox CX cards.

Résolution

The crash has been fixed with Inventory Collector 24.09.

Run DSU.exe again making sure the host it connected to the Internet and can automatically download the latest Inventory Collector 24.09 component.
