Symptoms

Using the ECOMConfig page and attempting to add a user fails with error:

This page isn’t working.

HOSTNAME did not send any data.

ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

Add User Error

Cause

This issue occurs when the account password contains a greater than (>) or a less than (<) character. 

Resolution

Workaround: Use a password that does not use the < or > characters.
