Symptoms

Users that make more than one change in UEFI Boot settings experience an issue that causes the changes to revert and not save.

To encounter this problem, a user must navigate to F2 System Setup, Boot Settings, UEFI Boot Settings.

From this screen, a user must first alter more than one setting. Next, the user must save changes and exit the BIOS. Upon returning to UEFI Boot Settings, any changes made are reverted.

This is the only section of F2 System Setup that is affected. All Intel and AMD servers are affected.

Cause

Pattern failure in the user interface.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in the December 2025 BIOS release.

NOTE: This issue only exists if more than one setting is changed in F2 system setup.
  • Users can change one setting and save it. The user may then come back into System Setup and make the other wanted change. After both changes have been saved separately, users should reenter F2 System Setup to confirm the wanted settings are saved.
    • A reboot is not required between each change.
  • System setup through iDRAC web UI is not affected with this issue.
