Details
Secure Boot certificates are used as part of the Secure Boot process which helps protect your computer from bootkits, a type of malware designed to infect a customer’s boot loader or boot process, enabling malicious code to run on the computer. Once the certificates expire, the computer is no longer able to get updates for the Windows Boot Manager and the Secure Boot components.
