Gebruiksscenario's:

  • Certificaten on-demand regenereren.
  • Wanneer Avamar-services zijn uitgeschakeld en niet opnieuw kunnen worden gestart vanwege verlopen of verkeerd geconfigureerde certificaten.
Opmerkingen:
  • Verschillende van deze procedures vereisen dat lopende services opnieuw worden gestart. Dit kan het uitvoeren van back-ups en replicatietaken verstoren. Services moeten niet opnieuw worden gestart terwijl Avamar-onderhoud (checkpoint (cp), checkpointvalidatie (hfscheck) of garbage collection wordt uitgevoerd).
  • Het opnieuw genereren van de keystores en het bijwerken van het Data Domain certificaatarchief kan automatisch worden uitgevoerd met de GoAV-tool. Zie het volgende artikel voor meer informatie: Avamar: Hoe Goav Security Keystore te gebruiken
  • Er MOET een controlepunt worden gemaakt voordat er updates worden uitgevoerd.

Controleer de bestaande vervaldatums om te bepalen welke updates vereist zijn:

  1. Meld u aan bij het Avamar hulpprogrammaknooppunt als beheerder.

  2. Verheffen tot rootprivilege.

  3. Stel de variabele "storepath" in:

    Voor Avamar v19.7 en hoger:

    storepath=/home/tomcat/.keystore

    Voor Avamar v19.4 en lager:

    storepath=/home/admin/.keystore
  4. Voer de volgende opdracht uit om de vervaldatums van het certificaat af te drukken:

Verificaties na wijziging uitvoeren:

  1. Controleer of alle Avamar-services worden uitgevoerd:

    dpnctl status
  2. Een testback-up uitvoeren
  3. Voer een back-up uit en blader naar herstel

Alleen de Apache-certificaten opnieuw genereren:

De Apache-certificaten worden opgeslagen als gewone PEM-certificaatbestanden (Privacy Enhanced Mail).

  1. Meld u aan bij het Avamar hulpprogrammaknooppunt als beheerder.

  2. Verheffen tot rootprivilege.

  3. Maak een back-up van de bestaande certificaatbestanden:

    cp -p /etc/apache2/ssl.crt/server.crt /etc/apache2/ssl.crt/server.crt.`date +%y%m%d`
    cp -p /etc/apache2/ssl.key/server.key /etc/apache2/ssl.key/server.key.`date +%y%m%d`
  4. Controleer of de back-ups bestaan:

De Management Console Server (MCS) Developer Kit (MCSDK)-certificaten opnieuw genereren:

  • Hiermee wordt de Avamar RMI Keystore bijgewerkt met het MCSDK-certificaat en de JWT-ondertekeningssleutel
  • Het genereert "/usr/local/avamar/lib/rmi_ssl_keystore"
  • Het MCSDK-certificaat verwerkt communicatie via de Java Remote Method Invocation (RMI) met Data Protection Central (DPC), de Avamar Administrator Console, de Proxy Deployment Manager (PDM) en Client Manager (AAM).
  • Het tomcat-certificaat moet ook worden bijgewerkt. In de Tomcat keystore worden de Tomcat certificaten opgeslagen.
    • "/home/tomcat/.keystore" of "/home/admin/.keystore" wordt gegenereerd, afhankelijk van de Avamar-versie
  • De AVI-certificaten moeten ook worden bijgewerkt
    • Het genereert "/usr/local/avamar/lib/avi/avi_keystore"
  1. Meld u aan bij het Avamar hulpprogrammaknooppunt als beheerder.

  2. Verheffen tot rootprivilege.

  3. Maak een back-up van de bestaande keystores:

    Handmatige stappen (en steekproefuitvoer):

    1. Volg 'Scenario 1' in het artikel over het oplossingspad Avamar: DD wordt rood weergegeven in Avamar AUI
    2. Genereer een nieuwe set clientcertificaten voor "avtar" als deze bestaan:
      Controleer op clientcertificaten in ZOWEL "/usr/local/avamar/etc" als "/usr/local/avamar/etc/client":
      cd /usr/local/avamar/etc/$(hostname -i)
      cd /usr/local/avamar/etc/client/$(hostname -i)
      • Als beide opdrachten "No such file or directory" melden, betekent dit dat Avamar het clientcertificaat niet gebruikt. Ga naar stap 9.
      • Als een van beide mappen bestaat, volgt u de onderstaande stappen c-e.
    3. Verwijder de bestaande map met clientcertificaten:
      Voorzichtigheid: Kopieer de onderstaande opdrachten zoals weergegeven. WIJZIG ZE NIET.
      rm -r /usr/local/avamar/etc/$(hostname -i)
      rm -r /usr/local/avamar/etc/client/$(hostname -i)
    4. Genereer een nieuwe set clientcertificaten voor "avtar" alleen voor de bestaande mappen van hierboven:
      avagent.bin --gencerts=true --mcsaddr=$(hostname -i)
      avagent.bin --gencerts=true --mcsaddr=$(hostname -i) --sysdir=/usr/local/avamar/etc/client
    5. Test een verbinding om te bevestigen of avtar verbinding kan maken met de GSAN:
      avtar --backups --path=/MC_BACKUPS --count=5 --encrypt=tls
  9. Registreer alle clients en VMware-proxy's opnieuw:

    1. Registreer de agent-gebaseerde klanten opnieuw:
      mccli client re-register-all
    2. Registreer de VMware-proxy's opnieuw door ze centraal opnieuw op te starten vanuit Avamar:
      mccli mcs reboot-proxy --all
