Dell Unity: No se puede crear un pool tradicional desde Unisphere O RAID 5 o 10 no está disponible cuando se crea un pool desde Unisphere

En esta situación, el arreglo Unity ejecutaba OE 5.2 y todas las unidades SAS NL estaban presentes en el arreglo.

Cuando se intenta crear un pool desde Unisphere, solo está disponible RAID 6 (RAID 5 y RAID 10 no están disponibles).

El arreglo Unity funciona según el diseño.

En Dell Unity OE versión 4.2 y superior, un pool dinámico es el único tipo de pool que se puede crear en Unisphere para un sistema todo flash. Además, esto se aplica a los sistemas híbridos que ejecutan OE versión 5.2 y posteriores. La creación de un pool tradicional requiere el uso de Unisphere CLI o API REST. Además, cuando se crea un Dynamic Pool con unidades NL-SAS, solo se permite RAID 6 cuando se utiliza Unisphere.

Se puede crear un pool tradicional desde la CLI mediante los siguientes comandos

1) uemcli /stor/config/profile -traditional -configurable show    <- Shows the profiles available in the system

3) uemcli -d <IP Address> -u Local/admin -p <Password> /stor/config/pool create -name <Pool Name> -diskGroup dg_26 -drivesNumber 45 -storProfile tprofile_2 -type traditional           <- Command to create a traditional Pool (we use 45 of the 47 drives to leave 2 for spares)

Note: This command is run from a workstation with Unity uemcli installed.
Alternately the command can be run directly on the SP via an SSH connection:

uemcli -u Local/admin -p <Password> /stor/config/pool create -name <Pool Name> -diskGroup dg_26 -drivesNumber 45 -storProfile tprofile_2 -type traditional
