Dell Unity: Impossibile creare un pool tradizionale da Unisphere OPPURE RAID 5 o 10 non è disponibile quando si crea un pool da Unisphere

In questa situazione, l'array Unity eseguiva OE 5.2 e tutte le unità NL-SAS erano presenti nell'array.

Quando si tenta di creare un pool da Unisphere, è disponibile solo RAID 6 (RAID 5 e RAID 10 non sono disponibili).

L'array Unity funziona come previsto.

In Dell Unity OE versione 4.2 e successive, un pool dinamico è l'unico tipo di pool che può essere creato in Unisphere per un sistema All-Flash. Ciò vale anche per i sistemi ibridi che eseguono OE 5.2 e versioni successive. La creazione di un pool tradizionale richiede l'utilizzo di Unisphere CLI o API REST. Inoltre, quando si crea un dynamic pool con unità NL-SAS, è consentito solo RAID 6 quando si utilizza Unisphere.

È possibile creare un pool tradizionale dalla CLI utilizzando i comandi riportati di seguito

1) uemcli /stor/config/profile -traditional -configurable show    <- Shows the profiles available in the system

3) uemcli -d <IP Address> -u Local/admin -p <Password> /stor/config/pool create -name <Pool Name> -diskGroup dg_26 -drivesNumber 45 -storProfile tprofile_2 -type traditional           <- Command to create a traditional Pool (we use 45 of the 47 drives to leave 2 for spares)

Note: This command is run from a workstation with Unity uemcli installed.
Alternately the command can be run directly on the SP via an SSH connection:

uemcli -u Local/admin -p <Password> /stor/config/pool create -name <Pool Name> -diskGroup dg_26 -drivesNumber 45 -storProfile tprofile_2 -type traditional
