NetWorker: Oracle Backup Fails with Error "ORA 03113 end of file on communication channel"

The following error message appears:

using target database control file instead of recovery catalog
PSDRPC returns significant error 3113.

sbttest was also failed:

The sbt function pointers are loaded from libobk.so library.

This is due to user Oracle being unable to access the /etc/hosts file. The NetWorker Module for Database Applications (NMDA) Oracle backup was started with user Oracle instead of root.
