快取認證會在 Shield 版本 8.x.x 和更新版本中加密。一般用途金鑰 （GPK） 會在護蓋上產生，然後從 8.x.x 或更新的 Dell Security Management Server （先前稱為 Dell Data Protection |Enterprise Edition Server） 或 Dell Security Management Server Virtual （之前稱為 Dell Data Protection |Virtual Edition）。

不適用

快取認證加密

基於下列條件，TPM 會用於加密：

• 必須安裝 TPM 驅動程式。
• 護蓋必須能夠取得 TPM 的擁有權。
• 電腦必須為 Dell 品牌。

TPM 和 DPAPI 必須針對 Dell Security Management Server 或 Virtual Server v8.x 或更新版本啟動受管護蓋。否則就不會使用快取認證加密，而護蓋則使用所有作業系統平臺上可用的系統 DPAPI。如果 Dell Security Management Server 版本早于 8.x，就不會使用 TPM 或 DPAPI 的唯一方法 （在此時間範圍之前無法使用 Dell Security Management Server Virtual）。
