The host does not hat have Host encryption enabled.

To resolve the issue of failing to create a multi disk group on an encrypted vSAN, follow these steps:

  • Go to Configure > System: Security Profiles > Host Encryption Mode
  • Select Edit and enable Host encryption
  • Retry the node add process
