The Microsoft .NET v6.0.20 installer is packaged as part of the DO installer.

The DO installer extracts and runs the .NET 6 installer when the install .NET 6 install option is selected. Doing so installs .NET 6.0.20 even when newer versions of .NET 6 are on the computer.

Oorzaak

Due to an issue in its installer, the version of .NET 6 carried by Dell Optimizer still installs the older version of.NET 6 when newer versions are already installed.

Oplossing

Install Dell Optimizer 4.2.1 or later (release date to be determined), which carries a newer version of the .NET 6 installer which does not have the issue present.
