Symptomen

La garbage collection di Avamar ha esito negativo con il seguente errore. 
Last GC: finished Fri May 22 12:25:36 2015 after 52m 16s >> recovered 0.00 KB (MSG_ERR_DUPLICATE) 

Oorzaak

La garbage collection è stata avviata più di una volta in un breve periodo di tempo.

Confermare questa operazione archiviando i log di manutenzione del GC in un file ed esaminando il contenuto. 
dumpmaintlogs --types=gc --days=5 > gc-maint.log
Il seguente estratto del log di manutenzione mostra un secondo job di garbage collection emesso entro 15 minuti da un job esistente.

Oplossing

Consentire l'esecuzione della garbage collection, avviata naturalmente dall'utilità di pianificazione della manutenzione.

Gli utenti non devono tentare di avviare manualmente la Garbage Collection tramite l'interfaccia dell'amministratore o dalla riga di comando.
