Symptomen
Bij het upgraden van PPMA 2.0.1.0.206 naar 2.1.1.0.74 of hoger, mislukt de upgrade met:

(let op, voor een hogere release zijn de berichten identiek ... met bijvoorbeeld 2.2.0.0.97 i.p.v. 2.1.1.0.74 in bovenstaand voorbeeld)
Oorzaak
Het probleem wordt veroorzaakt doordat het besturingssysteem is gewijzigd in de nieuwste PPMA-versie.
Oudere PPMA-versies gebruiken SLES-versie = 11.3-1.138.
De nieuwste PPMA-versie gebruikt SLES-versie = 12.1-1.331
Oudere PPMA-versies gebruiken SLES-versie = 11.3-1.138.
De nieuwste PPMA-versie gebruikt SLES-versie = 12.1-1.331
Oplossing
Wanneer de versie van het besturingssysteem verandert, is er geen andere manier om deze fout te voorkomen dan de configuratie van het oude besturingssysteem (Vapp) te exporteren, de nieuwe versie opnieuw te implementeren en configuratie-informatie te importeren.
Geval 1: upgrade naar EMC PPMA 2.1.1
1.SSH in de EMC PPMA 2.0.1 VM en voer vervolgens het script uit om de EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance 2.0.1-configuratie te exporteren.
chmod +x export_vApp1.x_Config
2. ./export_vApp1.2.x_Config
3. Kopieer het resulterende export_vApp1.2.x_Config.zip bestand naar het lokale bureaublad of een externe locatie.
Ga vervolgens naar stap 4
Geval 2: upgrade naar EMC PPMA 2.2.x en hoger
1.SSH in de EMC PPMA 2.0.1 VM en voer vervolgens het script uit om de EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance 2.0.1-configuratie te exporteren.
kopieer het export_ppma_config-script uit het volledige PPMA 2.2.x-pakket (dit is niet inbegrepen in het upgradepakket)
chmod +x export_ppma_config
2. ./export_ppma_config
3. Kopieer het resulterende Powerpath_Management_Appliance.zip-bestand naar het lokale bureaublad of een externe locatie.
4. Let op de details van de EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance-implementatieparameter.
5. Schakel de EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance 2.0.1 VM uit.
Verwijder de EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance 2.0.1 VM pas na een succesvolle import van EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance 2.1.1 (of hoger).
6. EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance 2.1.1 (of hoger) implementeren met dezelfde EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance implementatieparameters als EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance 2.0.1
7. Start de nieuwe EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance VM.
8. Ga in de geüpgradede PowerPath Virtual Appliance-webconsole naar System > Settings >
Import Config ZIP en importeer vervolgens het bestand vApp1.2.x_Config.zip [resp. Powerpath_Management_Appliance.zip met 2.2 en hoger].
Nadat u klaar bent
: Na een succesvolle import kan EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance 2.01 worden verwijderd.
Opnieuw opstarten is niet vereist na upgrades met behulp van het upgradescript.
Geval 1: upgrade naar EMC PPMA 2.1.1
