MC-LAG påvirkes når statusen for beholdingsøkten går ned i SONiC.

Cause

MC-LAG blir påvirket når statusen for beholdingsøkten går ned i SONiC. Keepalive i SONiC er konfigurert med IPv4 L3-kommunikasjon som ligner på sikkerhetskopikoblingen i OS9 og OS10, som vanligvis ikke påvirker VLT-Portchannel-status. Nodekoblingsstatusen i OS9 og OS10 vil påvirke VLT-Portchannel-statusen i stedet. I SONiC må imidlertid statusen for den beholdende økten være oppe for at MC-LAG skal være oppe. For koblingen inneholder det periodiske hjerteslag mellom MC-LAG-motpartsenheter og brukes også til å synkronisere tilstanden mellom MC-LAG-nodeenheter. I motsetning til SONiC bruker OS9 og OS10 nodekoblingen til å synkronisere tilstanden mellom VLT-motpartsenheter.

Når koblingen til den beholdende økten kommer ned, blir MC-LAG-statusen på begge MC-LAG-motpartsenhetene oppe/ukjent på grunn av synkroniseringsfeilen mellom begge motpartsenhetene.

Resolution

For at MC-LAG skal holde seg oppe og gå uten problemer, må den beholdive koblingsstatusen også holde seg i gang. Administrasjonsporten brukes vanligvis for den beholdede koblingen, men portkanal med IP-adresse tilordnet kan brukes til den beholdede koblingen for redundansformål. Atferden (som MC-LAG-en vil bli påvirket når statusen for den beholdende koblingen blir nede) som er beskrevet i denne KB-artikkelen, forventes i alle versjoner, i hvert fall frem til SONiC-versjon 4.2.0.
