Dell BSAFE™ TLS-C 2.0 Release Advisory

The Dell BSAFE Product Team announces the general availability of Dell BSAFE TLS-C 2.0.

BSAFE TLS-C 2.0 is the next-generation software development kit for C developers looking to add TLS 1.3 capabilities into applications and services. All cryptographic operations are delegated to BSAFE Crypto Module for C FIPS 140-3 module, version 3.0.1.

This new release of BSAFE TLS-C add support for the following features:

• Support for X.509 certificates, including generic support for X.509 certificate extensions.
• Support for X.509 certificate Authority Key Identifier (AKI) and Subject Key Identifier (SKI) extensions.
• Support for X.509 Subject Alternate Name extension.
• Support for X.509 Key Usage and Extended Key Usage extensions.
• Support for X.509 Basic Constraints extension.
• X.509 Certificate Authority (CA) store hash directory plugin.
• X.509 CA store support, including generic support for CA store plugins.
• X.509 memory-backed CA store support.
• Client and server authentication support.
• Fixed-peer authentication plugin.
• PKIX authentication plugin.
• Support for TLS version 1.3 PKI connections, including generic support for authentication plugins.

Existing BSAFE Micro Edition Suite customer with an active maintenance contract may, if their Master License Agreement defines it, be entitled to a BSAFE TLS-C software license and allow migrating existing code base from BSAFE Micro Edition Suite and/or BSAFE Crypto-C Micro Edition to BSAFE TLS-C and BSAFE Crypto Module for C.
