Symptoms

De PowerProtect Data Manager appliance wordt gebruikt om de vSphere-omgeving te beschermen met de VM Direct Engine-oplossing. De VM Direct Engine-implementatie in een DMZ-cluster (Demilitarized Zone) mislukt tijdens de initialisatiefase. De status van de systeemtaak geeft het volgende weer:

ProxySession unsuccessful during initialization. Unable to deploy and verify the vProxy my-proxy.my-domain.com. Unable to query vProxy status after 'Deploy'. Request unsuccessful. Unable to connect to External vproxy 'my-proxy.my-domain.com' on port '9090', the host service is not running.

Cause

Het PowerProtect apparaat heeft geen toegang tot de VM Direct Engine via poort 9090.

Resolution

De omgevingsfirewall of het netwerk moet worden geconfigureerd om het PowerProtect Appliance in staat te stellen te communiceren met de VM Direct Engine via poorten 22 en 9090.
