What is Dell Display and Peripheral Manager?
Dell Display and Peripheral Manager (DDPM) is a free Windows application that helps you manage and customize your Dell monitors and peripherals from one location. Adjust display settings, organize your workspace with custom layouts, customize peripheral functions, and keep your devices up to date, all without touching physical buttons.

System Requirements
Operating System:
DDPM works with the following Windows versions:
x64-based systems:
- Windows 10 build 17763 or later (Home, Pro, Enterprise)
- Windows 11 (Home, Pro, Pro for Workstation, Enterprise, Education)
ARM-based systems:
- Windows 11 on ARM (arm64-based) with Qualcomm Snapdragon X-Elite or X-Plus chipsets
Not Supported:
- Windows SE, Windows IoT Enterprise, Windows LTSC versions
Check your Windows version:
- Press Windows key + R
- Type
winverand press Enter - Look for your build number
Before You Start
Enable DDC/CI on Your Monitor
DDPM requires DDC/CI (Display Data Channel/Command Interface) to communicate with your monitor.
To enable DDC/CI:
- Press the menu button on your monitor
- Navigate to Others or Menu Settings
- Find DDC/CI and set it to On
Network Requirements (For Network KVM Only)
If you plan to use Network KVM on supported Dell monitors, ensure your firewall allows these connections:

Download and Install DDPM
Download Options
Direct Download: Visit Dell Display and Peripheral Manager download page
From Device Support Page:
- Go to Dell Support
- Enter your device model name
- Go to Drivers & Downloads
- Download Dell Display and Peripheral Manager
Installation
- Run the downloaded installer
- Follow the on-screen instructions
- Choose whether to install Network KVM (optional)
- Complete the installation
Installation typically takes less than 20 minutes. First launch may take up to 5 minutes as the application initializes.
Getting Started
Launch DDPM
- Click Start Menu > All Apps
- Select Dell Display and Peripheral Manager
Or find the DDPM icon in your system tray (near the clock).
First Launch
- DDPM automatically detects connected Dell devices
- All compatible devices appear on the main screen
- Click any device to access its settings
- Device images may initially appear as line art, then update

Important Notes:
- Only one dock can be connected at a time
- Multiple travel hubs are not supported
- Use one dongle for multiple wireless devices from the same family
- Firmware updates work one device at a time for identical models
- Non-Dell devices are not supported
Quick Troubleshooting
DDPM Not Opening
- Verify system requirements are met
- Restart your computer
- Reinstall DDPM if needed
Monitor Not Detected
- Check cable connections (both video and USB)
- Enable DDC/CI in monitor's OSD menu
- Refresh device list in DDPM
- Restart DDPM
Firmware Update Fails
- Keep device connected during entire update
- Ensure stable internet connection
- For wireless devices: Battery level must be above 20%
- For wireless keyboard: Press "U" key twice when prompted
- For wireless mouse: Move or click left button twice when prompted
Network KVM Connection Issues
- Verify firewall allows ports 5566, 5567, 5568
- Check all computers are on same network
- Ensure DDPM is installed on all computers
- Contact network administrator if needed
Device Not Responding
- Check device connections
- Try different USB port
- Update device firmware
- Unpair and re-pair wireless devices
