DDboost: RMAN agent Installation Without Changing Lockbox Credentials

During the process of upgrading the Oracle RMAN agent, use one of the following options:

Option1) If the Oracle RMAN agent installation script runs automatically, ensure that to set multiple environment variables that are described in below prior to the binary update:

# export DD_CREDENTIALS_UPDATE=FALSE
# export RMAN_AGENT_HOME=$RMAN_AGENT_HOME
# export RMAN_AGENT_INSTALL_OPTIONS=OVERWRITE

Option 2) For an automatic installation that overwrites an existing RMAN agent in the default directory and uninstalls the current version ORACLE_HOME without any prompts, run the following commands to set the environment variables (mandatory) before run the installation script:

# export DD_CREDENTIALS_UPDATE=FALSE
# export ORACLE_HOME=/home/oracle/app/oracle/product/19.x/dbhome_1/
# export RMAN_AGENT_INSTALL_OPTIONS=overwrite
# export RMAN_AGENT_HOME=/home/oracle/opt/dpsapps/rmanagent/
# export RMAN_AGENT_UPGRADE_OPTIONS=uninstall
